Guma, our nurserey room
The Guma Nursery is where your baby’s early learning journey begins with gentle care and genuine connection. We know early milestones are important, so every baby is gently guided and supported as they grow, learn, and reach each stage at their own pace.
The Guma Nursery welcomes up to 16 babies each day.
Training and Experience
Our educators are specially trained to care for babies and understand how they grow and learn. They know the signs babies use to show what they need, and they support them with calm, caring routines that help them feel safe and settled.

Every team member understands how little ones aged 0–2 develop, from their emotions to their early communication and sensory play. Our staff also continue learning new best-practice methods so they can always offer the highest level of care.
With this knowledge and gentle approach, our educators can personalise their care for each baby, creating a comforting environment where your child feels secure, understood, and supported every day.
Our Facilities
The Guma Nursery is thoughtfully designed to be a calm, safe, and welcoming space for your little one. Soft lighting, gentle colours, and natural textures create an environment where babies feel relaxed, comforted, and secure.

All cots and sleep spaces are safety-checked, and compliant with infant safe-sleep guidelines, ensuring every child rests in a healthy, supportive environment.
We create predictable, loving routines that help every baby feel secure, soothed, and deeply cared for. Sleep, feeding, and climbing areas are arranged with careful attention to cleanliness, safety, and age-appropriate design.
Safety and Security
Your baby’s safety and wellbeing are our highest priority. Our environments are thoughtfully designed so infants can explore, move, and grow with confidence, all within a calm, supervised, and nurturing space.

Our educators are trained in infant first aid, safe sleep practices, child protection, and emergency procedures, ensuring your little one is supported at all times.
Every moment of play and learning is guided gently and intentionally, always respecting each baby’s developmental stage.
Nurturing your child’s growth, safety, and sense of belonging is at the heart of everything we do in Guma.
What We Do and How We Do It
We make sure every child’s development is supported through gentle, play-based experiences that match their natural pace. Every baby gets tummy time, sensory play, and chances to explore textures, sounds, and early social skills. Caring educators respond to each child with warmth, noticing cues, offering comfort, and guiding experiences thoughtfully.

Allowing flexible routines helps babies sleep, eat, and play in ways that feel right for them. Routines and shared moments, like songs or quiet cuddles, create meaningful opportunities for curiosity and connection. Every experience is designed to help your child grow with confidence, joy, and security.
Food and Cultural Inclusiveness
Our feeding practices are gentle, unhurried, and designed to meet each baby’s needs and family preferences. Keeping close communication with families helps us support breastmilk, formula, or the introduction of new foods in a calm and positive way. All cultural traditions, comfort routines, and family practices are welcomed so every child feels a sense of belonging.

Respecting each child’s identity from the very start is important to us, and we make sure their background is celebrated in the way we care, feed, and connect. Understanding each baby’s cues allows us to respond thoughtfully and lovingly. Nurturing mealtimes help children feel safe, supported, and happy as they grow.

The staff were all really kind to me and my babies and were supportive. As a single dad I can’t manage to spend time to take care of my two newborn twin daughters, so this childcare centre has really been helping out.

Me and my husband work a lot to afford to live the lifestyle we do, so Leppington Childcare Centre and the staff in Guma has been really helpful with taking care of our very young children allowing us to work during the day.

The staff in Guma is some of the best nursery workers in the country, my second daughter is learning all of the skills necessary for someone her age, and it is much easier than having to teach these skills with only me and my husband like we did for our first two children.
